A border collie named Molly spent seven days alone in the New Zealand wilderness after her owner fell down a waterfall during a hiking trip. What followed was a search effort that drew strangers together across the country — and ended with a helicopter rescue that few thought was still possible.
A Fall That Left One Behind
Jessica was hiking through a remote area when she slipped and plunged nearly 180 feet down a waterfall, sustaining multiple injuries. Emergency responders reached her and airlifted her to safety.
